About the author
I began my writing journey in Miami, Florida, and later continued pursuing my passion in Cincinnati, Ohio. My love for writing started at a very young age. At just seven years old, I began writing poems for my father. From that moment on, I found myself drawn to literature classes and creative expression, although I didn’t fully realize the depth of my talent until I began studying philosophy in college.
The inspiration behind these poems came from a life-changing accident that occurred four years ago. After the accident, I fell into a deep depression that brought me to one of the darkest periods of my life, even leading to suicidal thoughts. During that time, I withdrew from the world and broke off communication with others. Writing became my refuge. I began pouring my thoughts and emotions into poetry as a way to cope and to keep myself from making drastic decisions.
